Been Busy!!!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the past few weeks. I've been to LA, Monterey, and all over the South Bay--Los Altos, Los Gatos, San Jose....

Tiny A is welcomed by her brother and sister. I've also photographed big bro and sis as newborns, (and big sis in her mom's tummy!) so it was great to see the family growing!

Here are two of four siblings of a family that I've gotten to watch "grow up". What? The oldest can drive???? Does that mean I'm old now?



A great day! I got to spend it with my cousins and was treated to a wonderful home-cooked dinner as well. No, no, the rest of you are not obligated to feed the photographer (but I'll never say no to a Dr. Pepper!).

Holiday Sessions

Yes, yes, I know, don't talk about Christmas etc., but I HAVE to-- you see, I am just about booked for this season. I have a few openings left!

Custom Albums

This is an 8 x 10 custom album with 30 pages and a French Blue cloth cover. These are photographs which are mounted in the book, some single images, some composited with complimentary images. There are many covers to choose from, including paper, cloth, and leather. Maternity and Newborn shoots would be great in here, as would baby's first year, family groups, or just the kids.

Elisa's 3rd Birthday

It was a CandyLand dream come true! (at least for me :) Yes, I admit, I was living vicariously through my child. This was the first official vicariousness. We had a life-size CandyLand Game that the kids played. They drew cards that moved them to the next colored square--you know how it goes. At each little station, they got goodies for their goody bags. Elisa and her buddies had a great time decorating goody bags and hats, eating candy, and running around the yard being chased by our friendly neighbor Rob. I was so excited for the game, and the kids really played it! Taking turns, going to the next colored square. Austen thought it was crazy that there were actual lollipops growing out of the ground in the Lollipop woods. Elisa's favorite presents were her Cinderella figurines and her Sharks hat.

A Day at the Beach with the McNair Clan

What a great day!!!! I had so much fun with this family. It was Joan and Sir's 50th wedding anniversary, and they celebrated by bringing the entire family to a beach house for the weekend. On a rare hot day in Santa Cruz, they were all great sports and hiked through the neighborhood, stopping for photos along the way, and then headed down to the beach. It was so bright and contrasty, I was searching for the tiniest respite from the glare. There were itty-bitty poofy clouds in the sky and once in a while one would pass in front of the sun, barely diffusing the blinding rays. I would yell, "Cloud Cover!" and the family would come running, jumping into position for a shot. Here you can see the entire group, and also one of "three generations", with Sir, his son, and his grandson. When our session was over, we walked back to the house for a few shots of the happy couple alone. I almost cried when Joan looked at her watch and said, "50 years ago, I was walking down the aisle." (I won't share Sir's racy reply :)

First Holy Communion

This is the littlest O'Hara, on the day of her first Holy Communion. I've photographed her brother and sister on both of their special days, and have had the pleasure of working with this family for a number of years. It's so fun to see them grow up!

Grown-ups

I first photographed this gentleman 7 years ago. He's matured into a very handsome guy!
